Drag Race Prediction: Season 17

Last year, I used tarot (specifically the Tinseltown deck), to predict the winner of Drag Race season 16; Nymphia Wind.

To me, this all pointed me to Nymphia.

So I’ve tried again this year, to predict the season 17 winner, with a slightly more detailed spread…

What do the cards tell us about the season 17 winner?

So what do these cards tell us?

Jewels Sparkles - The Nine of Pentacles. Honestly this is my favourite finalist and my favourite card. This suggests Jewels has come into her own - she is the mistress of everything she’s worked for and she is confident, secure and powerful. A winning card? Regardless she has what she needs for a fruitful career.

Lexi Love - The Queen of Wands. Bold, expressive and self-actualised, Lexi is full of energy and influence. She’s determined and vibrant. Does this suggest victory?

Onya Nurve - Strength. She is ending this competition stronger than she started. She’s found friendships, strength and a compassion she lacked, or denied, to begin with. But has she calmed the beast… and is that beast herself, or Ru?

Sam Star - The Queen of Swords. Sam has never been backwards at coming forwards. The Queen of Swords is the confident pageant queen who will tell you what she deserves. But does she deserve another crown?

Overall Outcome - Seven of Cups. This is the card of choices… Ru’s choice? The key to this card is making realistic choices and not being distracted by shinier things. If we look at performance throughout the season, that would suggest Onya Nurve should take the crown and is the “logical” decision. Let’s see if the cards are right!
